30 second brief inside my brain: My musical tastes change, but I always have room for Andrew Bird. I shoot because I love it. I squeeze the toothpaste from wherever I happen to pick it up at, usually the middle. I like to eat creamed corn and bacon, not necessarily always together. I once thought I could eat six baos from Wow Bao. Turns out, I can't. I like to drink ginger ale and Pellegrino. I don't have cable. I have a historical fascination with WWII. I'm bad at math. I laugh often, even when I'm by myself. I dream monthly about SURFING. I'm working on my fluency in Japanese. Konichiwa. That means hello. I have an aversion to novelty socks. I work in the technology industry. I sometimes forget how to use my DVD player. I hate putting things together. I once wanted to be a wood whittler and a negotiator. I suffer from high self esteem when it comes to athletics; I signed up for my first half Ironman race without owning a bike. And.....
I just want to shoot you.
I love the Moneymaker. And I love how I received the Moneymaker. My friend Diana was the event director for a black tie charity ball (benefitting Children's Memorial Hospital) and asked if I could cover the event, which I happily obliged. The week of the event I couldn't stop talking about Holdfast Gear and how beautiful I felt the products were. Little did I know, Diana worked with Matt (literally two days before the event) to rush order a Moneymaker as a thank you gift for me.
Matt is awesome. Diana is awesome. Best gift I've ever received.
It is so beautifully constructed. When I wear it with two camera bodies I don't get that pinch in my neck/shoulders the next day. And if I wear it with only one body, it balances very well and doesn't pull. At first look, one might think it is very masculine, but when you really take a closer look at it, you'll see it's just so classically crafted with a clean design that even girls can pull it off.
