I’ve already used the strap on a couple gigs, and it’s an absolute must-have for two camera setups. Gone are the days of using two separate straps and hearing my poor cameras hit each other. The leather feels like it’ll last forever with care, and it feels very high quality.
As for the D pins that come with the strap, I have a baseplate on both of my cameras and the pins fit a bit too tightly on them, like they don’t fully screw in 100%, only maybe 90%. That’s fine, and the cameras have never once felt insecure, but fair warning, be careful with screwing them in.
For larger lens setups, I know they recommend you attach the pin to the foot of the lens for better balance and so the camera hangs upside down properly. But for my Sigma 70-200 2.8 DG DN, I like to use the screen on the back of the camera, and the strap gets in the way and shortens how far I can hold the camera when I use the lens foot, so I just keep it attached to the body. Maybe I should just use the viewfinder more!
